Matilda (Alisha Weir), the precocious child of unloving parents, is sent to Crunchem Hall where she is nurtured by the delightful Miss Honey (Lashana Lynch) but must face the terrifying head teacher Agatha Trunchbull (Emma Thompson). Armed with a sharp mind and a vivid imagination, she dares to take a stand with miraculous results.
